known as “knowledge discovery” – computer-assisted tools and techniques for

patterns and correlations that can guide decision making and increase
understanding.

Cleansing or Scrubbing is a process that weeds out and
fixes or discards inconsistent, incorrect or incomplete information.

includes missing records or attributes, redundant records, missing keys or
other required data, erroneous relationships or references and inaccurate data.
Business Intelligence
1) Business Intelligence (BI) refers to applications and technologies that
are used to gather, provides access, analyze data and information to support
decision making efforts.

has now become the art of sifting through large amount of data, extracting
information, and turning the information into actionable knowledge.
